Many factors play a role when the prerequisites for e-mobility are to be created at a certain location: desires regarding charging points and charging speed, typical fluctuations in one's own electricity consumption over time, optimisation of self-consumption of self-generated electricity, and last but not least, the economic efficiency of the entire system. Volt-Bar uses design tools specially developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology IISB. In this way, charging infrastructure can be designed individually – for each case according to demand and without unnecessary use of material and financial resources.
